At Knoxfield and Colchester Medical Centres our doctors are committed to providing the best care for you and your family.

We aim to provide a comprehensive range of services that may not be found in smaller practices and use the most up to date medical equipment and sterilizing techniques. Our fees remain very competitive.

We are also Government Authorised Travel Vaccination Centres offering a full travel medicine service.

We stock all vaccines and a range of travel related products, including current flu vaccines.
Coronavirus vaccine is available at Colchester only. There are separate booking systems for Astra-Zeneca and Pfizer vaccines when booking online, or call.

If you're a new patient, please help us and save time for yourself by downloading and completing the new patient form from the links at the bottom of this page and bringing them with you.

LATEST NEWS - updated 8/11/2021:
TELEHEALTH services via phone & video, for existing patients seen within 12 months, for general consultations, mental health treatment plans and care plans continue. However, face to face consultations ensure optimal health care.
An annual face-to-face consultation is a Medicare requirement for existing patients and for all NEW patients.
Only standard appointments should be made online otherwise RING the clinic.
If you have trouble getting a COVID vaccination appointment on-line, call to book. Astra-Zeneca vaccine is now approved for any consenting adult and Pfizer vaccine from age 12. Check your eligibility and make bookings.

eScripts are now routinely used We can now send eScripts directly to your phone or email (let us know your preference). This is especially useful for Telehealth consultations. Of course, you need to attend physically at least annually, and for vaccinations, procedures and specialised requirements, or if you are a new patient.

FLU VACCINES are currently AVAILABLE for 2021. This must be separated from COVID vaccination ideally by 2 weeks. With the focus on COVID, don't forget to have your flu vaccination, and other routine medical care.

***COVID-19 NEWS***

There are very strict conditions set by Government regarding covid vaccination exemptions. We are EXTREMELY UNLIKELY to be able to issue one as you either need documented proof of serious reactions to all 3 vaccines (so you'd be fully vaccinated already) or have covid to qualify for a 6 month delay. Aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated.

Latest Information re Coronavirus disease and vaccines including testing centres as well as some interesting videos.

STEP 1: You first need to check your eligibility for the coronavirus vaccine through the Eligibility Checker
STEP 2: If you are eligible, you can now Make Your Bookings. It is best to make bookings for BOTH DOSES at the same time (6-12 weeks apart for AZ & 3-6 weeks apart for Pfizer).

Once you've had the vaccine, if you think you may be experiencing side-effects you can check here: Side-Effect Checker

Please follow the mask regulations (click the link for details) unless exempt. Please do not attend in person if you have symptoms of coronavirus but call the clinic. Thank you for your ongoing support and co-operation during these difficult times.

Medicare Bulk Billing
Bulk-billing and Telehealth changesAlthough the Government has discontinued COVID bulk-billing incentives, we appreciate that many of our patients are having a hard time, so we continue to bulk-bill all telehealth phone consultations for the time being. In-clinic services will be as per usual policy. As Medicare does not pay a bulk-billing incentive, we give non-concessional patients over 65 a $15 discount. Please ask for bulk-billing if you are in hardship. We want our patients to be able to continue to attend for medical care.

Only standard appointments should be made on-lineWe are still offering preventative care such as Cervical Screening Tests (formerly known as Pap Smears) in person at our clinics as also blood tests. Pathology remains open 6 days a week at Colchester, and by nurses as available at Knoxfield. Psychology/counselling, podiatry & physiotherapy are available.

If you are a new patient or need a special service (pain/addiction/cannabis etc) such as needing a doctor to help you with your complex pain or Opiate Addiction program and/or are enquiring about the Medicinal Cannabis program, please read the appropriate page on the website, then contact either clinic and ask to be directed to the appropriate doctor.
Specialised matters (travel medicine, medicinal cannabis, addiction medicine and diving medicals), or completing medical and insurance reports, require a longer appointment. These services may not be able to be bulkbilled due to the complexity and time needed. Prepayment of a deposit may be required due to the complexity of these appointments and the paperwork involved.
Also, not all doctors provide all services.

Respiratory clinics if you have cough and fever (so could be coronavirus)

If you suspect you may have the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), do NOT attend the clinic.
You can call us or the dedicated hotline on 1800 675 398.

Please keep Triple Zero (000) for emergencies only.
